THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE

 IAETA BOARD

THE ROLE OF THE BOARD
1. To Advise upon IAETA strategy and assist to establish key milestones to measure progress.
2. To promote the IAETA and its activities within the educational Travel community and to ensure member and community needs are reflected in its strategy and operations.
3. To seek to achieve a policy and financial framework which is conducive to the achievement of IAETA aims.
4. To assist IAETA performance to reach agreed objectives.

 

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOARD

1. To understand the nature and scope of IAETA operations in order to formulate strategy and promote the organisation.
2. To agree, commit to and take ownership of IAETA strategy.
3. To support the IAETA in its effort to increase the impact and effectiveness of its activities through securing modifications to current operating constraints. (This will require the acceptance of a lobbying role.)
4. To undertake and discharge specific lead responsibilities as agreed.

The Chief Executive has overall responsibility for ensuring that the Chairman and Directors are properly briefed and otherwise supported in achieving the above.
